The Explore program provides individuals arrested for domestic violence with the information and skills they need to change behaviors and improve their current and future relationships. The program is a 26-session psycho-educational group intervention aimed at increasing accountability and enhancing family safety. The service emphasizes peer confrontation, skills training and education and includes:
- 90-minute weekly group sessions targeting domestic violence issues
- Collaboration with a network of local emergency and support services for those affected by domestic violence
- Referrals for other services as necessary
We serve adults in Greater Bristol, Hartford, Meriden, Middletown, Waterbury, and New Britain area. Adults in this program are referred by the Office of Adult Probation or the court.
Your Starting Point: Individuals in this program are referred by the Probation, Parole, or Family Relations Unit of the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Court Support Services Division.
Payment Options
There is a sliding scale of $5 - $45 per group session.
