Businesses, Individuals, "Wheeler Elves," Brightening the Holiday for Children and Youth
Corporate and individual donations are helping to ensure that children and youth receive holiday gifts this year.
Our Health Ambassadors from Mott Corporation collected so, so many gifts and gift cards for youth in our Foster Care programs, which were wrapped and delivered by our team to foster families across Connecticut.
Amazon.com donated two pallettes of toys to respond to several requests from our programs. Wheeler Trustee Myron Stewart, with the help of our facilities and philanthropic giving teams, picked up the large donation and the team has been tirelessly matching hundreds of requests from kids and families in Wheeler's care to the items.
Additional donations from Home Depot and our own staff, as well as community donors, also have been pouring in, including dozens of gift tags with hand-written wishes from children and families, which were selected by Wheeler staff during their 2021 holiday breakfast and staff recognition breakfast and will be fulfilled.
Thanks to everyone who donated this year to help make the holidays happier for children and youth in our care. In 2020, we filled more than 400 wishes...we may fill even more this year!
