2023 Hispanic Heritage Month Visibility Campaign: Maria Jaramillo
September 15-October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to pay tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. Throughout the month we will also spotlight our Hispanic staff through our Visibility Campaign. Today’s spotlight goes to Maria Jaramillo, LCSW.
Maria is from Ecuador and is currently a program manager for our SAFE FR program. She has been with Wheeler for three years and prior to working with the SAFE FR program, she was a MDFT clinician in Waterbury.
What does this year's theme, Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America, mean to you? To me, National Hispanic Heritage Month is a time where our Hispanic culture and customs are acknowledged and we celebrate our differences and the contributions that we've made to in this country. It is a time to be seen and appreciated for where we come from and who we truly are to our core!
Thanks for sharing, Maria!
