Pamela Carrington-Tribble, DO, Joins Wheeler Health as Lead Physician in Bristol

A highly experienced, American Board of Family Medicine-certified, osteopathically trained family physician has moved to Connecticut to become the lead physician at Wheeler’s Family Health & Wellness Center in Bristol.

Pamela Carrington-Tribble, DO, has practiced in California since 1993, including 15 years in private practice in Half Moon Bay, California where she was repeatedly voted “Best Physician/Clinical Practice” in the Half Moon Bay Review. More recently, in Southern California, Press Ganey recognized her as achieving a 99th percentile ranking in patient satisfaction.

“Last summer, my family made a decision to move to New England in 2024. After several trips and much research, we chose the Hartford area. It has everything we are looking for culturally and geographically. We are happy to be closer to Europe since we have family there and enjoy traveling," she says. "Wheeler caught my attention with its numerous community programs, especially the Corsini Kitchen and exceptional behavioral health integration with the medical team. Wheeler is an organization that aligns perfectly with my philosophy of striving to meet patient needs in a wholistic and supportive environment.”

Dr. Carrington-Tribble (or "Dr. Pamela" ) will be seeing patients of all ages at the new Family Health & Wellness Center at One Hope Street. In addition to extensive experience in all common adult chronic and acute conditions and primary care of newborns through adolescence, she also focuses on nutrition, prevention of heart disease, and women’s health.

'Wheeler’s unique role as a community-based provider of integrated community care, harm reduction, nutrition, and behavioral health are  the reasons I wanted to be a part of this terrific team," she added.

“Dr. Carrington-Tribble is the ideal match for our philosophy of care that believes the mind and the body are one, and that care must include a whole-person view of each patient,” says Rebecca Eleck Bruce, MD, Wheeler’s primary care medical director. “She stood out to us as someone who instinctively understands our patients and Wheeler’s role in making the entire community of Bristol healthier. I’m so excited to work with her, and we know she’ll love New England and Connecticut.”
