Community Baby Shower on October 24 in Waterbury for Families Living in Surrounding Towns

A Community Baby Shower for expectant families and new parents will take place on October 24 from 3 to 6 pm at the River Baldwin Recreation Center in the gymnasium at 135 East Liberty Street, Waterbury. All families living in towns in Greater Waterbury, Greater Torrington, and Greater Danbury are invited to attend. The event will include information and resources from a variety of community providers and partners who serve expectant and new parents, as well as giveaways, door prizes, car seat safety clinic, and more. The event is hosted by Wheeler, SEPI-CT, and the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury and funded by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

CT’s Substance Exposed Pregnancy Initiative of Connecticut (SEPI-CT), administered by Wheeler and funded by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Connecticut Department of Children and Families, is available to ensure that Connecticut families have access to the treatment, recovery, and support they need, including prevention of prenatal alcohol exposure.
